How long will my Stable Cable last?
Made with marine grade double braid rope, your Stable Cable should last for many, many
seasons. Weather is always a variable but since your Stable Cable is housed underneath your canopy, it will be mostly shielded from serious weather conditions.
To assure longevity of your Stable Cable, bring it in when you’re away from your lake for extended periods. Simply unthread it and hang it in your boat house or coil it up and keep it dry while it’s in storage.
What are the benefits of Stable Cable?
Consider the following scenarios.

Can I get a less expensive version of Stable Cable?
Yes, you can probably find a bargain version or even make
something up yourself. But you should not cut corners when it comes to your family’s safety and the safety of your friends and guests.

For the price of an inexpensive life jacket, you’ll provide sure footing around your boat for season after season.
We’d like to say “take the plunge” but that defeats the whole purpose of Stable Cable.
Instead, we’d suggest you “grab life by the rope”. Yea, that’s a stretch but you get the point.
What do I do if my Stable Cable is too long?
That’s an easy fix. Simply raise the wood ball to the height you want and tie a knot under the ball. You’ll have some extra rope at the bottom, but the ball will be right where you want it.
We recommend that you do not cut the rope with a knife as it
will tend to fray. If you must, we suggest you use an open flame to “singe” the end of the rope (CAREFULLY) to help control the amount of fraying you might

Padded Wrap FAQs
What kind of padding is inside the Padded Wrap?
Good question. We use an insulation product that provides
extraordinary durability, even in the most demanding environments. This
material is used in windshield wipers, car gaskets, and other applications that need resistance to heat, moisture, and solar radiation.
We use a ½” sheet of this insulation that is housed inside our premium grade marine canvas. This combination of water resistance and durability will help reduce dings and dents on your boat and your lift as well.
Why is the Padded Wrap so expensive?
We use only the best materials available. You could probably
fashion one of those pool noodles to your lift, but you’ll get what you pay

Can you make me a custom size Padded Wrap?
You bet we can. We’ll need some time with you to work
through the back and forth of creating a prototype. We’ll need to get deep into
the specifics, there will be some custom design fees, and we’ll ask that you
sign a non-disclosure agreement with us.

Will my neighbors be jealous of my cool new dock?
Yes, absolutely. You’re welcome.
Do I need to bring my Pier Gear sleeves and wraps indoors
when not in use?
We want your Pier Gear products to last as long as possible. Obviously, it would be smart to bring them in during a storm. Store them in a dry place.
During the off season, we suggest that you store them in a bag where they’re all together in one place. We make a bag for just such a purpose. Go to the SHOP page and check out the Big Blue Bag.
Will my Pier Gear fade?
Like any awning material, our marine canvas will fade over
time. Our field tests have shown a strong ability to retain color over the course of several seasons.
Of course, we recommend that you bring your Pier Gear indoors from time to time to help preserve color retention.
Our marine canvas has high UV resistance, is breathable, rot
proof, mild resistant, and is resistant to tear. It’s some of the best marine canvas available on the market.
Do you offer more colors?
Yes, we have access to over 50 colors in our awesome marine
canvas, from lime green to burgundy. Just let us know what you’re thinking, and we’ll see what we can find. There may be a nominal surcharge for “obscure”
colors, but we think that’s a small price to pay for having the Coolest Dock on the Block.
Can you make a custom cover for my dock posts?
We love new challenges and thank you for asking. We would be
delighted to explore your idea and I’ll bet we can come up with a solution that solves your problem.
We may need to charge you for custom fabrication and there
are certain restrictions that may apply related to fabric, available colors, etc.
Can you print my company logo on your products?
We can personalize our products in most cases. We would need
several weeks of lead time after we determine your specific needs. Small batches are more costly, but it can be done. Drop us a line and we’d be happy to help.

REFUNDS - SHIPPIING
Pier Gear offers a
15-day return policy on most products. All products must be returned to the
manufacturer for replacement. Refunds and returns for items purchased at Pier
Gear resellers are subject to the Reseller’s policies.

the right to limit returns or exchanges regardless of receipt.
Refunds will be offered by Pier Gear for products that:
Are returned within 15 days from date of purchase.
Include copy of receipt or invoice.

How do I check the status of my order?
