WILL THE UD KEEP MY GEAR SECURE?
Yes, during normal flying conditions, your stuff isn’t going anywhere. We know how important your gear is to you having a successful flight. Allow us to explain.
The UD was created with convenience and efficiency in mind and then we added safety features to build upon the premise of having your gear accessible.
There are Velcro straps on top of the 3 pockets, and there are 5 straps to secure your UD onto your upright.
If you’re approaching a rough landing, you need to stow your gear in bags to help prevent damage and loss of your gear.
WHAT IS UD MADE OF?
We start with premium quality marine canvas that resists UV, mold, and water. We place ½” of foam insulation inside, which is also moisture resistant. This foam has no nasty stuff like CFCs, HFCs, or formaldehyde.
Then we carefully apply industrial strength straps (500 lb. breaking strength) and 5 adjustable side release buckles. Some say it’s overkill, but we think they’re full of hot air.
IS THE UD PORTABLE?
The UD can be folded in half and clipped together at the corner straps. The top strap serves as a carrying handle as well.
